Xecuter CoolRunner Nand-X JTAG Addon

The Xecuter CoolRunner is an add-on board for the Nand-X JTAG kit so you can take advantage of the new reset glitch hack by GliGli for all Xbox 360 consoles fat and slim. This is one of the most exciting developments for the Xbox 360 since the JTAG hack was first found, but up until now JTAG was limited to consoles with older dashboards, not anymore using the Xecuter Cool Runner add-on for the Nand-X you will be able to now JTag pretty much all Xbox 360 consoles fat and slim to open the doors to an already massive homebrew community for the Xbox 360, we here at modsupplier.com are very excited about this. The Xecuter Coolrunner release date is expected to be around the 21st of Nov and we have started taking pre-orders, these are sure to be a hot item so we recommend you get your pre-order in to make sure you don’t miss out on stocks when released.

The official pictures of the final production boards of the Xecuter CoolRunner have been released and we now picture them on this page, they also show the wires / cables that come with the CoolRunner. Note to program these units using the Nand-X it’s now known that a special JTAG programming cable is going to be sold separately, we will have these added to the site the moment Xecuter let us pre-order which should be soon, these cables will allow you to program the Xecuter CoolRunners with the code needed to make them function using the Nand-X. It’s also possible to program them using the old school LPT JTAG programming cable, but a lot of people won’t have these and using the Nand-X to program them is going to be much easier and by the sounds of it the programming cables are not going to cost to much, keep an eye on our flashing tools section for when we list these cables up for ordering.

The other product recommended to buy and to be used in conjunction with the Xecuter CoolRunner are the QSB boards which is short for quick solder boards for the fat & slim consoles. Xecuter have redesigned their QSB boards and a new version for each the fat and slim should release around the same time as the CoolRunners, while the QSB boards are not required for the install it’s been recommend by the team that they be used as it makes connecting the points for the CoolRunner to the motherboard just that much easier and neater, without them you will need to solder the wires directly onto fine points on the motherboard and is a little more messy and harder to do, the QSB boards make things a lot quicker and neater and in the end they won’t be overly expensive and as we said above is the recommended companion for a CoolRunner install.

Do note that these Xecuter Coolrunner add-ons are going to need soldering just like the Nand-X does, so it’s not for the end user that does not know how to solder, when we have more information on the install process we will post up some links to forum threads and info for customers.
