After cutting with scissors, the ends of PEX pipes become deformed and it is often impossible to place the fitting correctly so that the connector sticks to the pipe well. An additional advantage of the calibrator are the knives, which properly chamfer the pipe, thanks to which the couplings easily overlap and provide a secure connection.
